Privacy Policy

This Policy explains how CEFA collects, uses, and protects personal information across our website, portals, and credential registry.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect account details (name, email, phone, career path), profile photos you upload, enrollment and payment records, certificate metadata, contact-form messages, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal data to create and manage accounts, process tuition payments, deliver cohort resources, issue and verify certificates, respond to inquiries, improve the platform, and meet legal or compliance obligations.

3. Payments

Card payments are handled by Paystack. CEFA does not store full card numbers on its servers. Payment references and settlement status are retained for enrollment audit and receipt purposes.

4. Public Certificate Verification

When a certificate is issued, limited credential details (student name, program, issue date, certificate ID) may be shown to anyone who verifies the certificate code or scans the QR code. Do not enroll if you do not want this information to be publicly verifiable.

5. Sharing

We share data with service providers that help us run CEFA (for example payment processors and email delivery), and when required by law. We do not sell student personal information.

6. Retention & Security

We retain account, payment, and certificate records for as long as needed to provide the service and maintain the credential registry. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards; no online system is perfectly secure.

7. Your Choices

You may update profile details (including avatar) in the student portal, request account deletion where permitted by policy, and contact us about access or correction requests through the contact desk.

8. Policy Updates

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when revisions are published.
